ART EDUCATION

Education Career

As an educator, Rivera has worked with a wide range of organizations, including Frida Community Organization, the National Museum of Mexican Art, Yollocalli Arts Reach, and the Mexican Consulate. Through these collaborations, she has developed and facilitated workshops, public programs, and educational initiatives designed to make visual arts more accessible to diverse audiences. She has taught across multiple visual arts disciplines, with a particular focus on muralism, digital illustration, and street art, encouraging participants to explore both technical skills and personal expression. Her teaching practice emphasizes creative engagement, cultural identity, and community-based learning, often using collaborative processes that invite participants to reflect on their own stories and surroundings. By working with youth, emerging artists, and community members, Rivera’s approach centers on art as a tool for dialogue, empowerment, and cultural affirmation. Her work operates at the intersection of public engagement, visual storytelling, and cultural representation, contributing to broader conversations around identity, visibility, and creative participation in urban environments. Across both her artistic and educational practices, she seeks to foster spaces where art can function not only as a form of expression, but also as a catalyst for connection, reflection, and collective experience within the public sphere.
